My wife had these 14" knives without covers and was worried that someone would get hurt so she asked if I could make something to cover them… glowforge to the rescue! Each sleeve is made from two halves of butternut with the inside engraved to create the cavity… happy with the way they turned out!

Very nice, very useful…I like how you have engraved the use of each one on the scabbard…I would like to make some of these for our “good” knives…we take them each summer to the Farmer’s Market to be sharpened, and always have to make a sheath of cardboard and tape…this would be way classier.

This was a very creative solution, How long did it take in the GlowForge.

Around 50 minutes for engrave and cut of both sides not counting the reverse “decorated” sides.

These look fantastic! Kind of wish I needed a knife sleeve.

Oooo, very nice indeed! I’ve got my knives in plastic sleeves. Some fit okay, others not so well. This would be a perfect solution.
