Laser arm keeps derailing

One of the hard cardboard edges on the box was broken as seen in this picture when the box arrived. Everything else seemed fine. However the arm keeps derailing. I did follow the instructions on this video: https://support.glowforge.com/hc/en-us/articles/4466641175835-Laser-Arm-Derailed?input_string=laser+arm+not+aligned.
I couldn’t see the material on the app so I may have had the design too close to the edge for the gift of good measure which you can see did not print out correctly.
I have tried to print a new design and the arm keeps derailing.
I double checked that all the red bits from set up were removed.

Does the arm derail when you turn the machine on with nothing on the bed? When you watched the support video were you able to move the carriage arm forward and back smoothly? Have you tried the steps here: https://support.glowforge.com/hc/en-us/articles/360033633774-Perfect-Squares

I emailed support today. It derailed after I turned it on today before I put any material in the bed. I followed the instructions in the video & I was able to put it back in place & move it back & forth easily. I will get a square & follow these instructions tomorrow . Thank you for your help.
