She looked like an elf with those Vulcan ears 
Never saw the magazine in real life but the photos are up on Google images. I had no idea until I looked her up a few years ago. I thought her name was the same as the small alien (played by Ron Howard) piloting the big spaceship that Kirk played chicken with the rebound weapon bluff
