welcome!
have you made sure all is working correctly? did the lens shift position?
can you do a ‘gift of good measure’ test? – is the laser tube glowing?

can it be an issue with the file? that something was corrupt in it, and stopped the print?

too many random factors, you need to do a process of elimination to help you fix the issue.

I would recommend troubleshooting with the Gift of Good Measure. It’s a known file for troubleshooting that covers the basic actions.

The most common cause of this is two overlapping vectors though. When you try to engrave two vector paths of the same color that overlap, the overlapping area will effectively serve as a knockout.

Our forum users have provided some great advice to start troubleshooting this.

Could you please try a test print of the Gift of Good Measure, and if the laser isn’t affecting the material, let the print finish anyways and let the bed image update?

Here is the full breakdown of what I’d like to try. Please turn off your Glowforge printer and check the following:

Once all these things have been checked, please perform the following test print.

  • When the print finishes, leave the lid closed and wait until the fans stop and the picture updates.

Check the completed print:

  • If the Gift of Good Measure fails to cut through, take a photo of the front and back of the print and attach these photos to your reply.

  • If the Gift of Good Measure cuts successfully, please try another print of the design you experienced the issue with, and let us know the results.

Let me know what you find and if you have any questions.

Hello thank you for responding, what i found was the last shipment of proof grade materials was warped, I will reach out to the customer service team and let them know. I did put another piece in the machine and made sure that there was no bowing or bent middle and it worked perfectly.

Oh no! I am sorry to hear about the warped material, but happy to hear that your Glowforge is printing as expected. I am going to reach out to you in a separate email right now to get a little more information about the Proofgrade materials. I’ll go ahead and close this topic for now.
