Ran into some problems printing the layers all at once, but eventually managed to complete this project by printing one layer at a time:
Created the graphics on inkscape, and used Elmer’s spray on adhesive to glue the layers together, then glued that onto the backing board of a shadow box picture frame.

Very cool, great depth.
You got excellent registration, did you use a jig or pins or tools to get such good alignment?

Just assembled by hand. The spray on glue did allow for repositioning before it dries completely so I was able to make fine adjustments when stacking each layer.

Really neat design! It looks like it would be challenging to design and to assemble but you did a great job.
