That is awesome! I’ll definitely order a glass for delivery.
And I was instantly reminded of the most classic game from my childhood. Yes, we have no bananas!
My son was concerned about their mathematics and the way they played the game.
I don’t remember that one!
She hasn’t gotten into Uber eats yet. ![]()
@trually those were banana cake pops that our neighbor graciously made to sell at the lemonade stand.
Someone purchased a wooden lemon ![]()
Wow! 80 bucks! Nice! The entrepreneurial spirit alive and well and helped by a laser!
I remember the game lemonade stand! Fantastic!
Oh, wow! Glad she did so well. That booth is pro level—you could rent it out!
That is so cool. Kuddos to her ![]()
Wow! The nicest lemonade stand ever! Kudos to her … and to you!
Lovely stand. I sure wish I could stop by in person.
Fantastic! I’d like to order one of each, please.
So fun! Congrats on the success too. $80!
That is so cool! Good for her, $80 - wow! How often is she going to open up the stand? Keep the stand and during the winter sell hot chocolate and coffee! Or just change it up seasonally…pumpkin bread and muffins, snow cones (you’d have to get a little machine for that), etc. What fun!
Do you drink hot chocolate in Hawaii? (I need to add this to a list of the things I have never thought about before.)
Depending on where you are it snows in Hawaii, so I’m gonna say yes ![]()
I’m sure they would have made $80 off just me if I’d been in the neighborhood.
One of our trips to Maui was the beginning of December and it was drizzly and cold. We drank coffee all day. So I do think they’d drink it.
Touché
I meant in places like Honolulu.
I am really behind on this thread! Mahalo
@cynd11 it seems like it would be great for a photo prop opportunity!
@dklgood and @LauraZM we will definitely reopen if you drop by!
@pubultrastar Mahalo, she removed the cost of the lemons and the sugar from the equation, so that is the profit, however she also made the price of the lemons and sugar!
@ellencadwell it’s lemonade time all year! But it does get chilly down to the high 60s occasionally, and we fire up the fireplace. Although we are only about 20 feet above sea level.
@deirdrebeth we’ve been to the big island but haven’t gone up the mountain into the snow. The vacation rental there was pretty chilly in January and actually needed the fireplace that was in there, whereas ours is more of a place to burn laser scraps, and luckily Christmas supplies us with so many laser scraps…
@hansepe you are invited to the lemonade stand whenever you are here! Fresh squeezed Costco lemons, for now, until our lemon tree starts producing, we could have fresh limeade, but that doesn’t have the same excitement around it for a roadside stand.
@trually the kids do occasionally drink their hot cocoa, but it seems like they just take a sip and they’re done. They drink more at big city diner where they add a tower of whipped cream to it.
