Lid open when it is not

I tried various methods. Including rebooting the computer and machine.

Please help!

Basic or pro?

If pro, be sure that the front panel is firmly seated. It’s pretty easy to have the front panel be popped out a bit which prevents it from closing entirely. It can look pretty closed but still not be.

I closed again. But still can’t do it.

pro

Try taking out the front passthrough shield, then close the front securely. Sometimes if the tray is sitting a little too close to the front and the passthrough shield is in place, it keeps the door from closing just enough that the locks don’t engage. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks!

But still “lid open”

Hmmm. Tried clearing your cache?

I wonder if cleaning the contacts or jiggling the door up a bit might help?

I tried it. But still shows “LID OPEN”

This is what works for me…although I do not understand why…open another “app.glowforge.com” window. Download the same design and see if you still get the lid open warning. My 2nd window always works and prints just fine. Curious if anyone else has experienced this.

I used this method still show “LID OPEN”

I think there is a problem with the hardware.

I only use this machine for a month.

Unfortunately, it looks like your unit is experiencing an issue that we can’t resolve remotely. I want you to have a reliable unit, so I’m recommending we replace this one. I’ll be in touch via email to sort out the details. I’m so sorry about the bad news.
