Last night I heard a loud crack while closing the lid on my Glowforge. It looks like the glass on the left side of the lid has separated from the hinge.
Terrible timing, too–I was in the middle of making Christmas presents for people.
I hope this is something I can fix myself (either with glue or a replacement lid) without sending the whole thing back for repair.
This is one person who repaired theirs recently with good results…
GF support will almost certainly suggest replacing the unit if it’s under warranty.
Just had the same dam thing happen to me!!! I missed three Christmas seasons waiting for my GF to arrive. Now I have it, and another Christmas selling is shot!!! Really disappointed !!
Yeah, my fix seemed to work, but juuuuust this minute the OTHER side of the lid hinge snapped loose.
Soooooo annoyed!!!
