Low LPI 'clunk'

When engraving at 100-200 speed on 35 LPI the head moves to the next line with a hard -clunk-. Its been hard enough to shift even heavy materials around in bed (8x11x0.4 walnut slab) at higher speeds there is no hard stop on the line progression and at lower and higher LPI it is fine as well. I’m guessing this could be a software/programming fix with lowering the speed of the line advancement.

While definitely a problem that warrants investigation (and a video, maybe), I’d suggest using magnets on the bed to keep the material from shifting?

Thanks for letting me know about this.

I’m looking into what’s happening and will update the topic when I have more information.

I wanted to let you know that we’re seeing this, too, and the team is looking into it. Thank you for pointing it out!

I’m going to close this thread - please post a new one if you have another question or observation.
