I am building a desk for my pro that I just ordered. I need the dimension from the bottom of the machine to the top of the door when it is open.

DIMENSIONS
- Glowforge exterior (Pro, Plus, and Basic): 38″ x 20.75″ x 8.25″ (965mm x 527mm x 210mm)
As for height when the door is open I imagine the max is 29" (20.75″ + 8.25″) but you will hopefully never open your door more than ~45° which is mathable

Thx Deirdre I’m thinking its more like 20" but you’re probably right it won’t be opened all the way very often. I’m putting a cabinet above it that’s why.

That seemed short so I measured mine for sanity’s sake: from the deck to the top with the lid opened all the way is 28.25" and opened my typical 45° is ~25"
The hinge really doesn’t take away much on the length of the lid!
