Machine is pausing before print starting

I have had my glowforge basic just over a year and never had this issue.

It focuses and says ready, the button flashes as normal, I press it and the fans start up and then it pauses on its own. An error message says print has been paused, press the button to “unpause” when I press it nothing happens, I have cancelled the print and sometimes it will work and cut again. Other times it will pause again. I’ve tried cleaning lenses, I’ve turned it off and on. It will work and then stop again.

I’m wondering if it’s temperature related as it’s very hot here in the UK right now. My room is 29 degrees Celsius.
Could this be a temp issue? Or do I need to start panicking :weary:

Welcome to the community. I am by no means an expert about operating temperature, but the website says for a basic that operating temps. are between 16 Celsius and 24 Celsius…so it could very well be your problem.
Perhaps do a bit of reading about it here;
