I’ve been slowly working through my who-knows-where-sourced filament and going with (apparently us-based) stuff. Seems to make a difference, although it could also be that everyone has learned how to make better filament. (Printrbot, which I guess is effectively two-point leveling…)

Try ColorFabb. I have been very happy with their filament overall and their CO-PET in particular.

I’m on makergeeks for the time being. But I have to figure out what to do with most of a roll of no-name black PLA that kept jamming and breaking off inside the feed path. Maybe see if the stuff really does compost.

Jamming and breaking means the filament is wet. You can dry it out by putting it in a bucket full of silica gel and keeping it warm for a couple of days. If you have a dehydrator that works well also.
Yes it does compost, but it takes about 250 years from what I have read. It can be accelerated by using boiling water and agitation from what I have read but I haven’t tried it.
