Main lenses holder crack

Ugh, anyone seen this? What would have caused this? Not affecting the laser at all. Never dropped it, just cleaned it and noticed the chip on the holder part. I just purchased another one as a spare. I also went and purchased all the other lenses and the mirror for “fun” while I was at it just in case.

I didnt put in support as I didnt want to open a ticket as I know this is a consumable. I just want to know if laser firing would have caused it if it wasnt a defect

That’s not a crack. The lens is held in place by a retaining clip that seats in a recess, that’s the gap in the clip that allows it to flex.

I still got an spare anyways, if I ever break it!
