Please help! I am masking the material but it is leaving burn marks

Looks like your masking is not being pushed down hard enough… Get a plastic putty knife and glue on a couple layers of felt over the tip and use it to push down mask.

Yes on the masking coming up. For this piece a light sanding should take care of those spots without messing with the engraving itself
