What do you use to mask raw materials to protect from burn residue
I use this stuff from Amazon:

That is a smoke stain that has been deposited. As long as the surface is sealed, household ammonia will wipe that right off. Without a finish, the dissolved stain may bleed into the wood. Depending on the intricacy of the design, it could be easier/quicker than weeding the mask.

We were all new at some point. I wandered in here in the same condition 6 years ago. These people helped me learn everything. You just found the best accessory for your new laser.
