This is a custom 13"x13" light box designed to fit perfectly in an Ikea Kallax cubbie. The frame was 3d printed on a Bambu H2S, and has the ability to slide different pictures in and out. UV printed on laser cut milky white acrylic with 1 layer of white and 2 CYMK. This is one of my favorite pictures of my weimaraners, who are no longer with us, but now shine brightly in a custom frame. The eufyMake uv printer makes incredible prints for lightboxes. How many laser projects do you see in the second picture???
This post made me smile. What a great display of your art.
Awesome photo, and quite inspirational project.
Beautiful, and I can count over a dozen without even trying!
This came out phenomenally. I love how the colors just pop! And instead of a banana for reference you have a fire hydrant, which demonstrates the smallest weimaraners ever.
If you ever have colorful scraps left over, I would be interested in how they fare with sun exposure over time and how fast the colours fade. Weird but interesting experiment, I ask this because the sun shines into our house and bleaches our photos on the wall and this would be cool if it was somewhat resistant. (and maybe I could justify it to my better half as the reason why we need one!)
Beautiful picture! They almost look like statues themselves. I counted at least 10 in the second photo. What a great way to display your work.
I didn’t NEED a Glowforge. I didn’t NEED a 3D printer. Same for Eufy, I didn’t need one of those either, but here we are…
I’m there with you. And, I’m loving the Eufy. I’m printing everything in the house ![]()
Or the largest fire hydrant…
IF you saw Adam Savage Tested’s review they make LCARs panels from Star Trek Next Generation on some clear acrylic with the Eufymake (of course from hi-res scans of the originals from the set)
With the
I didn’t really know that I needed it until it arrived. Now I am hooked and can’t go back to pre-gf days. I certainly want one of these but there isn’t a ton of space here, unless I debulk the garage… hmmm.
Wow! Great project. Interesting idea with the kallax. I am inspired!
