Medium draft board peoblems

Has anyone had any issues with cutting the proof grade draft board? It seems to leave a sticky residue in my crumb tray.

Draftboard is pretty much sawdust held together with glue - the laser vaporizes the glue - so yes, residue happens.

That is normal. Most things cut in a laser cutter leave sticky residue. Lots of nasty chemicals released when cutting draft board or wood.

Hi @collete_rogers

As others have said, a little bit of residue is to be expected after running a print. The amount will vary a bit depending on what material is being used, but this is expected.

A good blow out with some canned air, and some isopropyl alcohol on a lint free cloth should be enough to keep things relatively clean, and clear away any unwanted buildup.

Since it sounds like you’re all set I’m going to go ahead and close this topic, but feel free to reach out if there’s anything else we can do for you!
