Can you set the forum summary display to not include stickied threads? For example, when you view the Categories summary page, two of the three entries under Problems and Support are stickies. Not much of an issue, but a little irritating that you can’t preview the latest three thread titles…
I think that’s kinda the definition of “sticky,” isn’t it?

AFAIK, there’s no setting in Discourse as you describe. Pinned posts are always shown first – by definition they are “pinned to the top of all listings.” The only way to not list them in that order would be for GF to un-pin them.
You may find making one of the other top-level pages more to your liking.
