While we’re on the steampunk train… a lot of people who saw my fish and first crow asked for a working clock, so here it is. This guy took some time (and a lot of mistakes) to get right, but now it’s his time to shine. He’s made from five layers of 1/4" Columbia Maple. Overlays, the clock rim, and the clock face are cut from 1/8" wood. All the gears were cut from 1/16" basswood and patina’d with Dixie Belle patina paints. He’s a big guy—stands 12" tall and 6" wide.
Now I just have to figure out what to make with all those 5.5" rounds I have in my scrap bin!
