Our girls did a new years trip to Catalina, and I wanted to surprise them with a gift that no one else could give them…

Walnut plywood proofgrade … Thick clear acrylic…
I recessed the walnut into the acrylic by etching the area using the SD engrave… I did two 3 passes on this… about 3 hours … I could have done a single pass at HD etching… which but that was 5 hours… but I didn’t need the detail or the time…lol.
