My Glowforge stops as it starts. It starts winding up for about 5 seconds and then gives up.
It said fan assist error, so I cleaned and reseated it, but it hasn’t helped. Any ideas? I cleaned the tiny fan, glass and mirrors within…
The tiny fan isn’t the air assist - the air assist is on the back of the carriage plate - you can see just the edge of it if you pull your laser tube all the way forward, but the way to clean it is to remove the carriage plate - the instructions are here:
If those are the instructions you followed, verify that you didn’t accidently unseat the connection cables while you were cleaning.
