My Jack of Spades inlay are (almost) done!

I’ve been posting about these on and off. It is all inlay about 11”x16” based on an 18th century design that I modified to work best with the laser cutter. 4 versions.

Stained wood (sharpie markers)
Painted wood (sharpie oil paint markers)
Clear acrylic
Colored acrylic

And some of the features (and those dots) are tiny!!

Now to mount and seal them!

This is amazing! I can’t even get a simple shape to match up with no gaps when doing an inlay lol

Very nice! Neat to see the same design with the different treatments - such different effects!

Yeah, I love seeing it done so many different ways. They are all great, but I’m thinking I like the acrylic one best because the edges are so clean.

I had a hard time picking too becasue they’re all so great. Acrylic almost always wins out with me though becasue the crisp and clean lines. The oil paint markers are a close second and the clear acrylic one is really interesting as well.

Wow! I’m just stunned!
