My makerspace shut down

Techshop, the makerspace I belong to in DC (well, belonged now I guess) just announced bankruptcy. While they had a host of machines, I primarily went there for laser cutter access.

So until I get my machine (looking like mid-April arrival now) I am bereft of laser capabilities. Anyone in the DC area belong to an alternative space with a laser cutter? I don’t want to go back to life without one.

i haven’t used it, but one of my coworkers (an architect) uses novalabs (http://www.nova-labs.org) in reston. don’t know much about them, but they do have one laser cutter there.

Don’t know where in/around D.C. you are, but I know someone who goes to Makersmiths in Leesburg and I know they have a laser.
