This was done on ⅛ Baltic Birch and I made the frame from some scrap mahogany that I had in the shop. The finish is a couple of coats of Walrus Oil. The photo was initially processed in Gimp with da big gimping 3.0 plugin. I finalized with a few tweeks to improve the contrast.
I do love the detail you get in your images!
Thanx……burned photos make for really cool gifts….since they are unique you don’t have to worry about someone else bringing another toaster😉
Burned images of a toaster?
Lovely work. Love the frame. Seems to draw out the darker parts of the photo also.
That turned out really nice!
This is beautiful. Great job!
I agree. They are cool gifts that add a personal touch, and I’m a big fan of the mahogany used.
Your choice of mahogany was a perfect match!
Thank you
Nice work. So clear and detailed.
So nice. I want to learn this trick so I don’t need to worry (too much) about Christmas gifts
Thanks……I have tried several types of wood and found Baltic Birch to yield the most consistent results
Wow, that really came out nice!
