Yes smaller AWG is thicker.
Probably less numerically (bigger wire).
I swear it wasn’t until the body modification craze hit that non-techies started to understand that larger guages were smaller numbers. Now everyone seems to be able to argue the merits of a 14ga ring vs an 18ga or 10ga for various body piercings

Yes, there is the issue. I would call 14 AWG larger than 16 AWG. I was pretty sure that is what was meant. The way it reads to me is that you are calling for 18 or 20 gauge.
Although I wouldn’t recommend going as far as the one and two aught cables I had to tie in at the Hollywood Theater in the MGM Grand. 
Hah… I use 1/0 and 2/0 for main power distribution in car stereo installations.
I downloaded the manual the day I received the golden ticket email, June 13th, and it is not labeled as draft.
Yeah, I just looked at the one I printed Day 1 and it doesn’t say DRAFT. Guess that was one of the mystery revisions made in v2.0.0 of v2.0.0.
Minor suggestion for the hopper:
If the print head/power cable are hidden away, taping a red ribbon on them and running them over the hood might save more than a few support calls like this. Crate and Barrel is doing this now with their assembly hardware, and it does make things easier.
I would have to tie in the back of house power when we would load in a new show. The stage had two 100 amp and two 400 amp disconnects that were available for the road equipment. Way overkill for a smaller stage but it made it easy for them to setup either stage left or stage right without having to worry about running power.
On a somewhat related note, back then I saw the Rolling Stones perform the Voodoo Lounge tour in the arena. There was so much light that it seemed like you were looking through colored Jello. They used a dozen SuperTrooper spots and at times you couldn’t even tell that there were any in use.
Behind the set there were four lights that did nothing but pan around in the air. After the show I went backstage to check them out. They were each 20,000 watt Fresnel lights with custom color scrollers on them - 162 amps each! Many homes only have 100 amp service. 
I’m not sure this arena needed them but the show traveled with several semi’s hauling generators. It was an impressive setup.
