The arm and head of my Glowforge are working, but the beam of light stopped working part of the way through a job today. I checked the mirror and it looks good and is in correctly. I had recently replaced the lens and it was working fine, but then the beam just stopped working. Any ideas?
Load up the “Gift of Good Measure” design in your library from when you first set up your Glowforge. Run that, with the default Proofgrade settings, on a piece of Proofgrade material. If the tube does not light up at all, then it’s likely your laser’s power supply has died and will need to be replaced. Email support@glowforge.com with the date/time you ran the gift of good measure job, a picture or video showing that nothing is being engraved, and they’ll get back to you with the next steps to getting you back up and running.
