Having trouble custom setting non proof grade materials. Help Please
There is a section on setting your own Manual settings here:
You can use the default settings for a similar material and thickness as a starter setting, and make slight adjustments on a simple test square to test until you just cut cleanly through the new material. When you get the correct settings worked out for that material, you can save those Custom Settings and use them again next time.
In addition, there are many starter settings for unusual materials in the Beyond the Manual section. Just use the search with the name of the material and the word “settings”.

While Jules provided some good info for your very first few projects, ultimately the only way to be sure of non PG settings is by testing.
You will eventually need to learn a good test method, why not start now?
