I could feel every ripple in the air in my sailplane that barely weighed much more than me. But piloting a 737 was so detached the elements that kept it aloft, it was always such a strange/disconnected feeling.

It’s like riding a motorcycle vs driving a car. In amongst it, vs just being in a cage..

Is it just me or did every airport go for the pebbled resin floor at some point in the last decade?!?

That’s to better camouflage the debris and detritus that would otherwise get the pushbrooms out more often. Can’t wait til they figure out the custodial staff can be further downsized by installing floor tiles with a pattern of candy wrappers and muddy shoe prints.
