So I finally got my update and am super psyched but when I do something at the old full speed it took 7:40 and when I do the same thing at 3800 with the same power and LPI it’s saying it will take 11 minutes. What’s up with that?
It’s complicated.
If you have a tall narrow engraving to do, this will probably slow you down because of the long acceleration/deceleration profiles making the head run further than it would otherwise.
Ideally to take advantage of that extra speed, you’d have a wide engraving to really let the head get up to pace and then you’ll probably start to see improvements. If you post a pic of what you’re up to we might be able to comment further.
