I have a design that I think ombré engraving would look really neat on. Can the glowforge do something like that? Has anyone done that?
What you’re talking about is where 3d engraves come in. Make a greyscale image with a gradient and you can get pretty fine smooth shading.

Mirror the image and invert the shading if going in the back! I have forgotten that occasionally
