Can anyone answer why some imported photos (all converted to .svg) have the option of Convert to dots and convert to patterns" etc. while others dont?
It depends on the type of image. I’m pretty sure that’s covered in the “your first prints” tutorial that was linked at the end of the setup process – you can find it over at support.glowforge.com.

.svg is a container file - it can contain both rasters and vectors. Just because it’s an .svg doesn’t mean it’ll get Convert to…
