Ornament overlay

Good Afternoon!

I have snowflake files that I want to cut out of acrylic, but I want to overlay the year on top and not have it cut it.

How do I do that?

In your design software make the numbers a different color than the cut line. Each color will be shown as a different thumbnail on the left. The top thumbnail will be done first, you can drag them to reorder the sequence.

I’m not sure what you’re meaning by ‘overlay’…do you mean engrave?

So, it is an intricate snowflake that I would like to add a rectangle to with the year in it (etched). But, the snowflake already has cut lines, how do I override those that are under the rectangle?

Can you drag a photo of what it looks like into your post? And, where do you want the rectangle…on the top…the bottom?

Gotcha - that’s not something you can do without either the Premium Tools, or a vector program like Inkscape.

Presuming you have Premium this should work:

Great. Obviously each snowflake will be different, but hopefully this will get you there
