🔌 Outlet cover plate with hooks!

With the do-over kitchen, this rats nest of wires on the floor in the kitchen wasn’t loved.

So I redesigned the outlet cover to add hooks to keep the wires in place.

Of course after a few design fails, I made a final one, then didn’t measure that metal attachment , so my final version doesn’t quite fit on the bottom as snugly as it should to the island, but I fixed it to 34 mm and uploaded the fixed version.

So now you COULD put the wires up.

But they will still likely live like this.

Some assembly pix and failed versions.

Great idea adding the hooks! I never want to unplug my cords but hate leaving them in a pile!

That’s a great idea. Mine would likely look like the second photo, but it might be worth it for the few times a year when it doesn’t.

You could also use the hooks to hold a phone while charging. Thanks!

Can you believe I remodeled my entire upstairs and didn’t have them put in outlets with USB slots? Dummy. Must be rectified. Thanks for the inspiration.
