Is there a way to create an outline cutout around a figure for acyrlic?

If you donā€™t have the premium subscription, you will need to open the file in your graphics program and create an offset line. If you have premium you would simply use the outline tool.

^^ What he said - I use photoshop and I create a ā€œoutlineā€ using the ā€˜strokeā€™ tool

Then export the outline to illustrator and turn it into a vector that now is a ā€˜cutā€™ shapeā€¦ I am sure there are more elegant ways to do it.

Itā€™ll be cleaner, more precise and less work to create your offset in Illustrator if youā€™re going to end up there anyway.

Thanks Iā€™ll give it a try

I donā€™t know much about illustrator, but I get an easier, and far better outline in Gimp than Inkscape.

I donā€™t have any insights into either Inkscape or Gimp.

In the Adobe-verse, offsets in Illustrator have much more flexibility, cleaner results than In PS and are resolution agnostic.
