With 8000 banana varieties and counting It would never work. not only that but as soon as one becomes a monoculture, something evolves to make that variety extinct.
I don’t know. Since it is an offi cial unit of measurement, there has to be competing standards in other countries. Well, at least in the US and a few other backward places.
I had 4 different sizes at my old house, five if you included the one with zero length bananas.
It won’t be long before you can raise them in your backyard, though this one will be too much salt.
The combined GDP of the other two is about equal to that of West Virginia (which is 0.4% of the US total…)
