Is anyone having issues with the passthrough right now? I am getting an error message that states " there is a gap in your design" after it finishes the first part of the cut. I have cut this design many times. It is only giving me the option to cancel or align manually. When I click align manually it then gives me another error. “We are sorry, an unexpected error has occurred.” Please HELP!!
Good Luck…I`m on my Second Glowforge Machine in less than 2 years and have the same overheating issue again and as usually support is taking their sweet time about helping
If you would like support to address your overheating issue (different than this issue) you will have to start your own support thread. Each ticket is limited to one machine.
And each email opens a different ticket so if you have an email discussion open then do not open one here.
Hi @smclaughlin43, thanks for reaching out! I’ve reviewed the data about your Pro Passthrough print, and it looks like the print may have failed to align because there are too few features in the design for the system to accurately align the next portion of the print. In order to align your design, the Glowforge looks for unique marks on the material that it can use to track how your material has moved between prints.
As a next step, try adding a few small shapes near the edges of your design in places where there are very few lines or features, and set them to be scored during the print. This will provide more areas for Pro Passthrough to use when aligning the print.
Additionally, could you let me know if you have had this trouble with any other Pro Passthrough prints? If so, let me know the date and time (including timezone) that they occurred so I can look into it further.
DUH…You did see I have had 2 machines in less than 2 years. I know the process.
Hello! @jodypro1 Hope you are doing well. Have you tried the steps my colleague @Danielle.W suggested? That would be a great way to help the Pro Passthrough feature get better alignment. Let me know how it goes and I will be happy to assist you!
