I made a birthday card for my husband engraving non PG 1/8" Birdseye maple hardwood. I prepped my photo in Photoshop by converting to grayscale, sharpening, and adjusting the curves. For the engrave, after some initial tests I decided to go with the new beta speed of 1400 and full power (Pro). Vary power and LPI 450. The photo took about 45 minutes to engrave. I’m pretty happy with it!
