This is my second time engraving a photo. This is for a paying customer. Any suggestions about what I need to adjust? In advance thank you for any critique.

Maybe back off on the brightness/contrast a bit?
It’s a treasure hunt! I’d pick a sample area off the back of her hand (that way you can run small tests on a scrap) and play with that until you get an effect that pleases you.
That will be a great gift!

Honestly I think you’ve nailed the hand on the left, and all of the one on the right except the pinky, and just in front of the ring. I’d grab just that section and darken it and then layer that back into the rest.

Looks good. You can check out https://www.imag-r.com. The tools on the site are pretty good. Just something to play around with that might help.
