Pill Box finally released in the catalog

This one took me a while. I wanted to come up with the design for a pill box that wouldn’t look like one. And then while looking at other designs, I mostly found plastic designs, and pill boxes that hold just one day of pills, regardless of how many times a day you need to take pills.

So I created this, and it’s now in the Glowforge Design Catalog. This was made possible with the recent availability of RAW medium solid wood. I chose Cherry and I learned about the Contour Tool in Affinity which allowed for pill box inserts to be assembled with perfect pressure fit, without glue. Thus the material that would potentially be in contact with actual medication pills would contain no harmful chemicals.

Each pill insert has a word of inspiration and an icon at the bottom of it, for when the person flip it over to take their pills.

That’s lovely! I imagine it could be used as an advent calendar too

This is a pretty cool design, I like how it blends in and doesn’t look like your average pill box

You could make a travel edition where a cover can go over the boxes to keep them in!
