Cute overload, but don’t be fooled. The male has a spur that is poisonous. Won’t kill you but you’d probably never touch one again.
Fascinating ancient creature. Monotremes, the only mammals that lay eggs instead of giving birth to live young.

I’m not saying I’m old but zoologists have only figured out how to classify them in my lifetime.
That part of the world has produced some weird-ass mammals between the Monotremes and Marsupials, both being non-plecenta mammals.
