I made this shadow box for my niece’s birthday. I saw something similar made with paper, so I used the box generator to turn it into a wood version!
The color is great. Nice job.
At first I thought that was the “Northern Lights” in the back, but it looks like more wooded mountain background.
Still, very nice creation! Thanks for sharing it!
Woods and mountains lit by northern lights
If that teal background was reversed and in the sky it would really look like the Northern Lights. That would be pretty cool.
But I still love what the OP presented! I love shadow boxes.
So cute! I bet she loves it!
Love this!
I was trying to do the northern lights but my painting skills aren’t that great But that’s ok, I’m still happy with how it came out!
Well, my first thought was the northern light, I just thought they would be higher in the sky! Great job either way!
Very nice. Love the colors!
That’s quite lovely!
Love it! Looks like assembly might have been tricky with the tabs and the wrap around living hinge - the end result is well worth it though!
Awesome job! What paint did you use?
Thanks! I used this set of Apple Barrel acrylic paint: Amazon.com
A delightful gift! Beautiful colors.
Your shadow box is awesome. I have found that lots of people are fascinated with anything with a living hinge. Very nice design.
What a great use of a living hinge! That’s a lovely gift. Thanks for sharing your work with us.
“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger…except Polar Bears, Polar bears will kill you.”
Assembly wasn’t too bad after I got the first living hinge to match up, then the panels were pretty much in place, making it pretty easy. The box generator did the hard work of setting up the living hinge and the slots!
This turned out great! I so need to do this with my granddaughter’s horses!!
