Printer Head Mirror melted

I am so disappointed. The Printer Head Mirror melted. I have had my printer for about 3 years now, I have also cleaned it. Never had this happen. The part is also sold out. I am so sad this happened, and I am ready to start working again being creative.

The disappointment is real!

This will happen any time the laser beam hits the mirror when it is not pointed correctly, or worse if the mirror is backward.

I cleaned it the same day it stopped working, about a week ago. The part is sold out.

That mirror must always get inserted correctly or this happens.

The mirror and lens are the two most “exposed” parts of the opitcal path. I am meticulous about ensuring they are clean - and re-installed correctly.

The windows on the left side, and side of the head, are easy enough to wipe as well, but the mirror and lens I ensure are perfectly clean.

That is the issue. While it might take a while to get a second one you are better off than some. “I did a deep cleaning of everything and the machine won’t work now” is a surprising sentence in a very high percentage of folks with problems, and most of those are dead machines.

Those infamous words of certain doom…

Follow the manufacturer’s instructions… seems to have worked for many of us for years!
