I am wanting to purchase craft Popsicle sticks for my students to decorate for their first project. Problem is I don’t know what type of wood it is. The package just says natural wood. What should I do?
I googled “what are popsicle sticks made of” and it looks like they are generally made of birch. One link was an Amazon link which said the product was birch. You might want to get those specific ones so you know for sure.

Since this question isn’t about Proofgrade materials, I’m going to move it to Beyond the Manual so other folks here can help.
Someone posted a really fun and easy “jigsaw puzzle” by scoring or engraving a bunch of popsicle sticks that were lined up in the GF. Once you pulled them out and scrambled them, it was a fun puzzle to rearrange them back into place. I am sure it’s searchable if you want to go find it, it was a while ago, but it’s a fun idea.
