Remembrance Plaque

I designed and made up these remembrance plaques for my friend that passed. I made one for his sister and partner. Then placed them in shadow boxes with lights. I made two more for his step kids that just were framed.

That turned out very pretty. I’m sure they were touched to receive it.

A beautiful remembrance plaque. Can I ask what the inscription below says?

Google Translate says it’s Irish, and literal translation is “Thank you again for your life and for the rest of your life”

Beautiful gesture.

Thanks! That is a beautiful sentiment.

That is correct. Gaelic for “Thank you for the life you shared with us.” My friend was very proud of his Celtic ancestry but sadly never got a chance to visit Ireland.

I forgot to take photos as I did them the day before the remembrance gathering. I’m hoping to have the recipients send me a photo but not going to bother them with the request for a bit.

Here is one in a shadow box frame without the lights.

Not the best photo but here is the one in the shadow box with lights. No quote was done on this as it was used on top of the remembrance alter. I’ll try and get a better photo on my next visit.

These are beautiful.

(I know someone with this name and had to go double check social media to make sure it wasn’t the same person. I’m sure it’s a common name.)
