Removing Acrylic Burn Smell (Ear Savers)

Hello, All.

I have been churning out ear savers through GF’s “2 Million Essential Ears Initiative.” I am wondering if you all have a technique for “washing” the burn smell off of the acrylic? I would like to do so before continuing to deliver stinky ear savers.

Thanks.

Did you remove the masking? I find that the smell dissipates on acrylic pretty quickly. You can also skip the engrave, which is both faster and less smelly.

I did remove the paper film. This one particular set had a custom engraving requested. My quick solution was just to wash the pieces with soap and water which reduce the smell a little bit.
