Social distancing gives me a reason to revisit my love affair with the Bloom County comic strip by Berkeley Breathed. One particular comic has Opus doing a little “mortification of the flesh” with a Ronco Spank-O-Matic.
I decided to model an Opus figure out of polymer clay and use my Glowforge to create the Spank-O-Matic. The attached pictures are the result.
I might have to give Bill the Cat a try next.

That is very well done, from a comic to 3D creation. At first I wondered which parts were GF-cut as it looked 3D-printed.

Bill may be a step too far though. If you comb his hair and remove the orbiting, unattached nodes, well, it just does not have the flair.
