I had an UGG sheepskin hat around and decided to throw it in the glowforge and put a design on it for my mom, who is a University of Tennessee alumni.

Small world! My moms family is from Johnson City TN. My pappy also went to UT and he use to have a classic leather sheepskin hat he would wear. He had just passed away and so I made this one for my mom and she cried when I gave it to her but loved it.
Do you know what year your Pappy graduated? Both of Eric‘s parents graduated from UT in the 60s. Eric graduated 1988.
Does your mom still live in Johnson City?
Not sure I would have thought to put it in the Glowforge. Very cool!
