At least the first part reminds me of flying.

We had this safety poster in the ready room on the carrier. It was a Kansas field with a single tree all the way to the horizon. There was a bi-plane stuck in the branches, and it said: “Aviation in itself is not inherently dangerous, just terribly unforgiving”.

There are the classics:

Warning Lasers

And yes, we’ve had these at my place of work too (since I work with multi-kilowatt lasers).

In the user manual of a kitchen appliance I own, in the safety section it first touts its short cord and then goes on to state it should only be operated six feet from a wall.

I’m not sure if I am supposed to have outlets put in the floor, or hung from the ceiling. Also, I can apparently only use it in the living room or the garage.

I was shocked they could sell such a product.

Did you check the bottom of the appliance?

It comes out the side. Also, appears to be the same wire used in dryer cords.
