Does a High Quality score cut more than halfway through PG medium maple plywood? I’m doing a project where I’d score the same line on both sides of a piece, and wondering if I’m just going to end up with a cut for my trouble.
Might. Your best bet for something like that is to defocus the score. It gives a slightly wider line that cuts more shallowly. (I use it for decorative scoring.)

You can also go manual and bump the power down if you want to preserve the sharp line.
After selecting either proofgrade score option, switch to manual and the proofgrade settings will be populated for a starting reference.
