Second pass misprint

I’m having alignment issues with my aura. I’ve had it for about a week and I have done some perfect prints, but now on the second pass it does not line up with the first pass. I’m using glowforge proofgrade wood, I’ve cleaned the bars and the lenses, the wood is clean and flat. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

While your Aura is off, gently move the head both ways and see if you can find the spot where it’s binding. Hopefully there’s just dust or debris in the track.

I started using set focus on my lowest point because once it gets so far down it loses focus, it seems to work for right now. Thank you!

Hello! I am having the same issue with my Aura not lining up on the second pass. It seems to be happening most on the prints that are on the lower left and right corners of my material. I am using Proofgrade materials and cannot seem to see where the laser might be getting caught up. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated!

Welcome to the community.

May I safely assume that you’re neither lifting the lid nor moving the material in between passes?

No, I am not lifting the lid or touching the material. I’ve mostly been running my Aura while I’m working from home. I set it up to go and leave it be :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m having the exact same problem with my Aura. Support will tell you to clean it. They also tell you there’s no refund on the aura for any reason. Is that legal?
